Heroes for Children

Heroes for Children was created in 2004 by two mothers who connected after losing their young daughters to pediatric cancer. Having spent hours sitting in hospitals and running ragged trying to keep their families afloat, they realized the enormous need felt by parents of children enduring cancer treatment, some of whom were losing their homes, having their electricity shut off, and struggling to make everyday payments.

Heroes for Children advocates for and provides financial and social assistance to families with children (0-22 years of age) battling cancer.

Delighted to Doula

Delighted to Doula exists to eliminate Maternal Mortality in communities with the lowest quality of care. We provide postpartum support to mothers to ensure they recover well and hope to make their transition into motherhood easier. We focus on mother's self care, recovery, mother's mental health, and baby care education. Every mother is visited by a Postpartum Doula for the first 4 months and then supported via Telehealth the remaining 8 months. Our goal is to ensure every mom and baby are healthy and thriving through the first year postpartum.
